What is Smashbook?
Smashbook is the IC version of a networking site such as Facebook/MySpace. This was added for players to update and customize their own character pages due to the fact that we do not allow players to edit their own profile pages.
Smashbook Page Creation
If you would like a Smashbook page simply follow the link below your character's photo on your profile. If you have not already created your Smashbook page you will see a 'create it now' link, click it to begin editing your page.
Filling out Information
Your Smashbook page is open to editing, however there is a template to follow. As such, each section is divided by a ==== line. Do not remove these lines. It will cause errors in the display of your page. You may remove the comments, however they will not show on your page and may be helpful for editing at a later date.
Uploading Images
Image files are typically uploaded to the wiki in order to be referenced on a character page. To add an image:
- Scroll down to the buttons at the bottom of the page and click on "FILES" (in the center of the row)
- Then select "Upload a file from your computer"
- Browse to the file in question, and
- IF the original filename does not match what you cited in the wikipage:
- Select "switch to our old uploader" instead of "Select Files"
- Browse to the file in question
- When renaming the file remember:
- You must include the extension, e.g. Grace.jpg
- Filenames are case sensitive; Grace.jpg and grace.jpg are two different files
- Filenames cannot contain spaces
Once the file has been uploaded, you should be able to hit refresh and see it displayed at whatever point the wikipage references it.
Smashbook Friends
The friends listing uses the icons for characters located on the Smashbook Friends page. Each friend should be entered on their own line using the following format.

Posting to Someone's Wall
To post to a character's wall you will need to edit their Smashbook page as you would your own. Please be respectful and do not edit anything on their page without express permission from the player.
Use the following format and add your post to the top of the wall section of the page.

Tricks and Troubleshooting
Hide Line in TOC
The Table of Contents is generated from headers. Headers are lines prefixed with one or more + symbols. If you want one to be left out of the TOC, put an * right after the last +, e.g. '++* Title Text.
Additional Tabs
There is a section in the Smashbook template where you may add additional tabs. To do this you do not need to include the [[tabview]] tags, only the [[tab <Name>]] tags and any information you wish to include in them.
