Question - I hear you don't have to write a BG here. Why?
Answer - No, you sure don't, but there's a very good reason why staff choose not to include BGs in the CharGen. Within this theme, who the characters where and where they come from is not nearly as important as who they are now and where they will go. Thanks to the organization, the agents have no memory at all of their past lives, families, or anything they experienced before waking up at the academy. For this reason, staff have instead turned their attention to more important things, such as making sure each character fits well into the theme and that each experience is more interesting than the last. This makes Cg much easier for some, however, due to the importance of character development within the theme, staff are very careful to look closely at each and every application that comes through. For this reason staff would like to point out that we will not be taking alts that are made specifically for combat or TS. ALL approved characters will be expected to maintain activity, both socially and TP related. You can not have one without the other here.
Question - What is the Cover and Why Can't I Choose My Own Stuff?
Answer - That's simple, and while some may not agree with it, Staff have chosen to take a completely IC approach on things. The code of the CG selects the information for each characters cover. This is to maintain the IC feel of the environment. The Agents wake up with absolutely no memory left of their past. They new past has been charted out in detail by the organization, which can be located in the Cover Packet along with the agents new Identity. The Cover Packet covers the Agents new name, fills them in on their age, provides them with their Agent Class, as well as gives them information on their new cover family.
The cover families are made up of other members and associates of the Organization, all posing as the family members of the students. this is rather easy thanks to the reach and power the Hoffman Organization possesses.
