Abilities

In this room players must define the important skills of their characters. Staff do not expect you to outline every single skill your character possess. Mundane, common skills like reading, swimming, climbing easily climbed surfaces, running and such abilities are considered mundane skills and do not need to be apped to be preformed ICly, however if you want your character to be a competitive swimmer or lifeguard, a track athlete, a rock climber, or a speed reader/research genius then you will need to app these as important skills.

Staff ask that players remember to keep both the nature of the theme AND the age of their character in mind when aping abilities. Sixteen year old characters do not walk around Hoffman with guns in their backpacks, they are not sniper level shooters, and they are unlikely to be masters at anything at this time.

When defining your abilities staff ask that you be detailed and explain it well. One sentence, lazy definitions will be rejected and the player will be sent back into CG until they have clearly defined the skill.

For example:
Computer:
Sue has basics computer skills.

This is a lazy answer and will be rejected.

Instead try something like this:
Computer
Sue is able to use a standard PC. She can utilize the various Microsoft programs for her school and personal needs, and knows how to use the internet, including handling email and managing her social sites. She also enjoys making graphics like banners and icons.

If you can not be bothered to put effort into your character then staff can not be bothered to take the time to approve you.
